Defamatory Report Must Be Of or Concerning Plaintiff

Defamatory words must refer to some ascertained or ascertainable person, and that person must be plaintiff. Fact that defendant credit bureau reported truth of bankruptcy by individual with name similar to that of plaintiff was not enough to support specter of libel.

Lowry v. Credit Bureau, Inc. of Georgia
444 F.Supp. 541
D.C.Ga. 1978.
