22 Q Now, there's a sliding scale on that
23 numerical status from zero to nine. Is that true?
24 A I -- are you asking me -- are there different
25 -- different terms for the different numerical ratings?

62
1 Q Yeah. Let me ask you this.
2 MOP stands for method of payment; right?
3 Or manner of payment?
4 A Yes.
5 Q And manner of payment in this case is listed
6 as a five as reported to you by Discover. Is that
7 true?
8 A Yes.
9 Q And there's a sliding scale from zero to nine
10 as far as numerical ratings that can be reported as the
11 manner of payment. True?
12 A I wouldn't categorize it as sliding, but --
13 Q Well, I mean, someone can begin with a zero,
14 meaning the account is too new to rate or is unrated;
15 correct?
16 A Yes.
17 Q And a person who is a one means they pay as
18 agreed, that they're -- they're a good customer; right?
19 A Yes.
20 Q A two means they're 30-plus days delinquent;
21 right?
22 A Yes.
23 Q And a three would be 60-plus days delinquent;
24 right?
25 A Yes.

63
1 Q And so when I talk about sliding, it means
2 the higher you go up that scale, you must have been at
3 the one before, meaning you go from a two to a three to
4 a four as you become progressively more delinquent.
5 Right?
6 A In some cases.
7 Q Okay. And when you achieve a nine, that's
8 when you're in charged-off status; correct?
9 A Yes.
10 Q Or collection.
11 Now, in this particular case, being at
12 120-plus days delinquent, that is a very derogatory
13 status; correct?
14 A You know, the term very derogatory, I think
15 it's subjective to whoever is evaluating this credit
16 report. Trans Union doesn't say one remark is more
17 derogatory than the other.

18 Q But my question is this. You don't want
19 anyone putting a five rating on any of your accounts;
20 right?
21 A No.

22 Q It's very derogatory. It's not a good thing
23 to have a five rating on an account; right?
24 A Yes.
